It's perfect weather to take an Art and Garden Tour of City Park. Kids are welcome!

City Park Art & Garden Walking Tour- AVAILABLE SPRING 2023

A good way to get in some steps! Escape the French Quarter and visit one of oldest and most beautiful city parks in the country. Wander beneath the canopy of centuries-old, moss-laden live oaks, and along well trodden paths that encircle lazy lagoons. This is where us locals find respite from heat, picnic, walk our dogs and enjoy some time with the kids.  City Park attractions include: Children’s Museum, New Orleans Museum of Art and the Bestoff Sculpture Garden, the Botanical Garden, Storyland, Miniature Golf, the Dueling Oaks, WPA-funded sculptures, bridges and paths.

The tour is sort of free form, but will include a visit to the Bestoff Sculpture Garden and coffee and beignets at Cafe du Monde.  Along the way, we will talk about what it’s like to live in New Orleans, and why it’s so hard to leave.

There are places to eat inside the Park, and also many great restaurants nearby. Also easy to get to by streetcar.

Art and Garden Tours are 1.5 hours. Cost: $35. Bookings are required. A great tour for solo travelers.
