Adventurous Kate, Solo Female Traveler, about our Historic Architecture Tour of the Marigny:

Explore the architecture in different neighborhoods. My favorite neighborhood for architecture is Faubourg Marigny. I went on a Faubourg Marigny architecture tour with Welcome New Orleans Tours. My guide Sheila took me all over the neighborhood, showed me gorgeous buildings, taught me about the quirky architecture styles, and even gamely served as my photographer. They also do French Quarter and Garden District tours.

Dave and Deb, dynamic duo of The Planet D, Adventure is for Everyone blog, on the Garden District and Lafayette #1 Cemetery Tour:

If we were to walk around on our own, we would have missed many of the little nuances of the area.

There are several self-guided walks that people can do on their own, but we find our favourite thing about visiting a new city is to meet the locals and see the sites from their perspective.

Sheila gave us plenty of insight into what makes the Garden District tick.
